2. Paper House

3D Rendering

I undertook this project in Mainz, Germany as an exchange student. It was particularly interesting for me to research an existing building and convey it using computer software. 3D Studio Max and AutoCAD were used simultaneously to create the different perspectives and the exploded isometric was created using 3D AutoCAD and Sketchup Pro.

Shigeru Ban's Paper House (1995) was a building which was constructed of paper tubes as its main structural element. I studied this project extensively and have created an exploded isometric and 3D renders to convey this incredible architectural structure.

Even the furniture within this project was constructed of paper tubes. The way the inside and outside exist as one makes this space truly fascinating
